Friend's with Feathers

Friend's with Feathers is a student-lead animation project with a team of 11. The aim of this short animation was to produce a story appropriate for the network channel, ABC for Kids, with the team's interpretation of the theme "overcoming fears".

  • Developed 17 character concepts and 2 official designs for Friend's With Feathers Cast, leading to 5 fully-realized characters for the official storyboard.

  • Directed narrative outline that met all production requirements, enabling smooth iteration and implementation of changes in video editing for optimal visual effect.

  • Produced storyboards with consistent style and total of 45 boards, accepted as the final official version with 100% team’s approval within 1 week of timeline.

  • Facilitated and hosted 1-2 meetings virtual and physical Department Leads and 2D Department meetings, to effectively collaborate across a team of 6, and delegating tasks across 5 departments.

  • Emphasized team engagement and recognition of contribution to inspire and motivate team of 11 to perform higher and establish growth-oriented workflow.

  • Created cinematography for 3D animation in Unreal Engine 4, filming 30 unique shots with original lighting composition, producing stylistically dynamic visuals that articulate the narrative and themes creatively.

  • Edited 30 shots and integrated VFX with 3D animations, in addition to mixing SFX to produce finalized and refined children's animation.
